Scion + Paul St. Hilaire are the international guests at next month's Urban Season of outdoor electronic music gigs
The exciting news for people who like their music live, electronic and outdoors is that you can find it all for free this July as part of the Diversions festival in Temple Bar.
With Diversions' film events already into full Joycean swing, the 'Urban Season' features an impressive program of electronic arts courtesy of the DEAF collective.
That's right folks, the good people who bring you the annual Dublin Electronic Arts Festival have expanded to bring you a summer programme of workshops and events, with the Diversions gigs expected to draw big numbers in Meeting House Square (so get your free tickets early!).
July 2 sees Jamaican vocalist Paul St. Hilaire (aka Tikiman) kicking off proceedings alongside German duo Scion. A major highlight of last year's DEAF in the Guinness Storehouse, the Hot Press recommendations do not come higher than this (even if Tikiman's drinking habits remain somewhat questionable).
The trio are joined by Polska (live) and Firehouse Skank DJs, with visuals courtesy of Del 9, and then the party continues at Traffic where DJs Vainqueur (Scion) + Pete are special guests at Model One's weekly techno club.
