On their huge 2017 run STEPS will play in Dublin’s 3Arena.
The British dance-pop group, consisting of Claire Richards, Faye Tozer, Lisa Scott-Lee, Ian “H” Watkins and Lee Letchford-Evans, just announced their big 2017 Arena tour covering 15 cities all over the UK and Ireland, including Belfast and Dublin.
The 1997 formed band, who had 14 consecutive top 5 singles in the UK and two number one albums, has sold over 20 million records worldwide. After the band disbanded in 2001, they first reformed in 2011 for a documentary series and now for a second time: STEPS are celebrating their 20th anniversary not only with their Party On The Dancefloor tour, but also with a brand new single and album.
The bands new single “Scared Of The Dark” will premiere next week, with its release due for February 10. “Scared Of The Dark” will be followed by the album Tears On The Dancefloor, out on April 21. It marks the band’s first full album full of original material since 2000 and will feature huge pop classics from some of the biggest songwriters in pop, including Ina Wroldsen (Calvin Harris, Britney Spears) and Metrophonic (Cher, Olly Murs).
Speaking about the forthcoming album STEPS added: “This is the album we think our fans have been waiting for. It was very important for us to have a hint of the past but to try to blend it into modern day music. We think Steps are a little bit of what everyone needs right now. We can’t wait to take the new album plus all our favorite hits out on the road”.
