Young Fathers donate Super Bowl ad revenue to Minnesota charity and War Child
Their song 'Pals' was used in an advertisement for Open AI during the Super Bowl last Sunday.
Young Fathers have announced they will be donating the royalties from their song being used during a Super Bowl commercial, to charity.
Early reports have shown that over 125 million people tuned in to watch the NFL championship broadcast last Sunday.
Young Fathers' song 'Pals' appeared in advertisement for Open AI during a commercial break. The Scottish band took to social media last night to announce they would be donating their cut of the ad revenue to the Immigrant Response Fund In Minnesota, in the wake of the ongoing ICE occupation, and to the War Child charity.
"As the USA is increasingly under attack from fascism we stand with those who are being kidnapped, murdered and tortured by ICE thugs, as well as those who work with children trapped inside war zones in places like Gaza, Sudan, Congo, Yemen & Ukraine," said the band.
The band are also set to appear on War Child's upcoming Help (2) album, set to release on March 6. The collaborative album will also feature the likes of Olivia Rodrigo, Fontaines D.C., Arctic Monkeys, Dove Ellis, King Krule and Cameron Winter. All proceeds from Help (2) will go towards War Child UK.
