Zoidan Jankalovich to launch new album
Zoidan Jankalovich is to launch a new jazz concept album in Crawdaddy on September 15
Zoidan Jankalovich will launch his new concept album ZoiD Versus the Jazz Musicians of Ireland Vol 1 this Saturday, September 15th in Crawdaddy. Jankalovich has composed eight musical pieces featuring many of Ireland's most distinguished jazz musicians including Ronan Guilfoyle, Michael Buckley, Mike Nielsen, Tommy Halferty, Sean Carpio and Greg Felton.
The night in question will feature live duos from the man himself on electronics and guitar with Paul Williamson, Nick Roth and Cathal Roche - on trumpet, alto sax and soprano sax respectively. Lakker's Ian McDonnell will provide DJ sets in between the dual performances.
The first 20 ticket holders will receive a free copy of the album. All other guests can avail of a 5 euro discount on the album's price of 15 euro. Tickets cost 12 / 15 euro and include free admittance to the album launch after party to be held at D1's new weekly club night in Rogue, Dame Street. After party entertainment will be provided by the auspicious Alan Carberry and Eamonn Doyle hitting the decks. Jankalovich will fittingly close the night with a live set.
