The prog rock legends are heading to Dublin as part of their Album Series 2020 Tour.
Following the success of their #YES50 Anniversary Tour in 2018, YES are gearing up to hit the road again in 2020 – including a stop at Vicar Street, Dublin on Sunday, June 7.
The upcoming The Album Series 2020 Tour will see the legendary prog rock band play two sets. While the first will feature classic hits from across their catalogue, the second will will see YES play their 1974 album Relayer in its entirety. The album marked a notable change in direction for the band, as Patrick Moraz replaced Rick Wakeman on keyboards to introduce an edgier, avant-garde sound.
"We are really looking forward to playing ALL of the Relayer album,” guitarist Steve Howe notes in a statement about the upcoming tour. “Having premiered 'The Gates Of Delirium' this year, we continue by expanding our Album Series with all the tracks: 'The Gates Of Delirium', 'Sound Chaser' and 'To Be Over'. During the first half of the evening we'll be performing a refined selection from Yes' enormous 50 year+ repertoire.”
"Relayer, I believe, is one of the most creative and interesting musical compilations in the bands repertoire," adds drummer Alan White. "Challenging and extremely enjoyable to play, I'm happy to be bringing this music back to live stages throughout Europe. I hope all who attend our shows will enjoy these cuts as much as we like performing them for our audiences."
With over 50 million records sold worldwide, YES were inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017. Their current line-up includes Steve Howe (guitar), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (lead vocals) and Billy Sherwood (bass guitar).
