Enter Shikari have indicated that they will no longer create music or tour past 2027
The band have several upcoming shows in Belfast and Dublin in December.
Enter Shikari have announced that they will become dormant as a group from December 31, 2027.
They declared the news in a post on Instagram, with the beginning of the statement reading:
"As of December 31st 2027, Enter Shikari will fall dormant as a recording and performing entity.
"This dormancy may eventually end with an eruption back into activity, or may end with extinction. We have no idea which."
The band explained that while they have loved making music for the past two decades, their priorities have changed, and their experience with the music industry has become draining.
They also mentioned the pressure they feel within the modern music industry, with band member Rou Reynold's recent illness prompting them to have some difficult conversations about the future.
"To then see a friend in trouble made those conversations more pertinent," the statement reads.
Enter Shikari clarify that they are not necessarily 'breaking up,' however they do not have any plans together as a group past 2027.
The band have a number of upcoming shows in 2026 and 2027, including a show at the Telegraph Building, Belfast, on December 2. They also have two shows at The Academy, Dublin, on December 3 and 4.
The group have several UK concerts, for their LOSE YOURSELF tour. Dates include Hull, Glasgow, Manchester, and London.
They teased upcoming US shows in their statement. Dates include Florida, Georgia, and Tennesse in January 2027, with more information soon to be announced.
Next year marks several anniversaries for Enter Shikari. Their debut album Take to the Skies will celebrate its 20th anniversary, along with 15 years of A Flash Flood of Colour, and ten years of their record, The Spark.
They are planning to celebrate all three albums, however as they wrote in the statement "what form any of that will take is still currently under discussion."
Tickets for the Irish shows can be found here.
