yes chef!, Grá, and Stratford Rise announced for Tilt #42 at The Button Factory

Tilt #42 has been announced, with the free monthly music showcase being held in The Button Factory on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

Curated by John Barker and produced by The Sound Training College, the event aims to showcase rising Irish musical talent, and provide training for students looking to pursue a career in music.

The lineup for Tilt #42 features yes chef!, Grá, and Stratford Rise.

Tilt has been running since 2019 in The Button Factory. It is the longest running 'full band' music showcase in Dublin. Past performers include Gurriers, Curtisy, and Tolü Makay.

yes chef! were originally formed in 2022 by Dylan Kennedy and Ryan Whelan, who met at a gig in The Workman's Club. The four-piece band blend the sounds of nostalgic rock and dance music. In September 2026, they supported Overhead, The Albatross in The Button Factory, they are also currently recording their debut single.

Grá are a six-piece, female-led, folk project. They combine acoustic and synthesised sounds to create new interations of Irish traditional music. They have a growing fanbase following their performances at All Together Now and Electric Picnic during the summer.

Stratford Rise are a alt-noise rock guitar band, originally from Bangor, the four-piece are now based in Belfast. The band takes inspiration from a variety of genres including no-wave, jazz, funk, and noise guitar. They released their debut EP Stratford Rise, in May 2025.
