David Keenan released his latest single 'World of Refuge' in July 2026, later the same month he dropped a live album, Dundalk to Dublin.
His fourth record, Modern Mythologies, came out in November 2025, Hot Press gave it a 9/10 saying "this is widescreen, outward looking, world-embracing stuff, as Keenan manages that difficult trick of making the personal universal and bringing Dundalk to the wider world."
In a burst of inspiration, he released another LP in February 2026, titled Just for today. Hot Press rated it an 8/10, calling it "one of Keenan’s most compelling records to date, and a magnetic sequel to the recent Modern Mythologies."
He will appear on the upcoming tribute record, 20th Century Paddy: The Songs of Shane MacGowan, alongside artists such as Amble, Bruce Springsteen, and Lisa O'Neill. It will be released on November 13.
He has a show at Billy Byrne's in Kilkenny on Saturday, December 5, where he will showcase new material along with old favourites.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards services that support the homeless community, helping them achieve safety, stability, and independence. According to recent statistics, there are 17,885 people in homeless accommodation across Ireland.
