Yellowstone actor Luke Grimes announces country album

Yellowstone lead and country singer Luke Grimes has announced his album 'Redbird', due out April 3. The announcement was accompanied by a single 'Love You Now'.

The record will feature ten tracks, produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb. Recorded primarily at Georgia May Studio in Savannah, and Nashville’s RCA Studio A, Redbird will lean into classic country music.

“Making Redbird was a cathartic experience in many ways," said Grimes.

“Sometimes the highs and lows of life are too much to express with words, so song becomes necessary. As deeply personal as it is, the themes are simple and universal: love, loss, and learning along the way,” he added.

Grimes co-wrote much of the album with Cobb, and contributed acoustic guitar, percussion, and drums. The new release will also feature collaborators like Jessie Jo Dillon, Natalie Hemby, and more.

The country singer released his first EP Pain Pills or Pews in 2023, followed by a self-titled debut album and breakout track 'No Horse to Ride' in 2024. Having performed at several summer festivals such as Montana's Under The Big Sky, CMA Fest, and Stagecoach Festival at the start of his career, Grimes went on to perform a series of US gigs until late 2024.

Primarily known for his leading role as Kayce Dutton on Paramount Network’s Yellowstone, Grimes will star in the leading role of the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff series MARSHALS, set for its US premiere on Sunday, March 1.
