Cillian Murphy, Billie EiIish and more speak in video message for tonight's Together For Palestine concert
"It’s always been the artist’s role in society to speak out, to risk speaking truth to power," says American activist Nan Goldin in the video.
Over 30 celebrities have featured in a video message for tonight's Together For Palestine fundraiser concert, including Cillian Murphy, Billie Eilish, Sharon Horgan and Chris O'Dowd.
Together For Palestine, organised by Brian Eno, will consist of musical performances, speeches and art, with all proceeds going to Palestinian aid organisations. While the in-person show at Wembley Arena is sold out, it will be livestreamed at 7:00 p.m. tonight on YouTube.
The video begins with a compilation of the celebrities saying "together for Palestine," followed by Succession actor Brian Cox stating, "We have to tell the truth on behalf of the people of Palestine."
"It’s always been the artist’s role in society to speak out, to risk speaking truth to power," continues American activist Nan Goldin.
Writer Michael Wayne Rosen then adds, "We know that the leaders of this country are complicit in the mass murder of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank."
Various other celebrities go on to repeat "together for Palestine" in English, Irish, Spanish, Urdu, Arabic and various other languages.
"It’s important to speak out now, not when this is over," says Philomena actor Steve Coogan.
"Right now, while it’s happening. Pressurise your government, lend your support to those who are peacefully campaigning, call for a ceasefire, stop the killing."
Also appearing in the video are Caitríona Balfe, Annie Mac and Laura Whitmore, along with Joaquin Phoenix, Penélope Cruz, Peter Gabriel, Rupi Kaur, FINNEAS, Malala Yousafzai and more.

Together For Palestine announced the final lineup for the show this morning, adding Ruth Negga, Florence Pugh, Paul Weller and more. The show will also feature appearances from Benedict Cumberbatch, Jameela Jamil, PinkPantheress and Damon Albarn, as well as Palestinian artists such as Saint Levant and Elyanna.
This afternoon, Eno opened up about his organisation of the show, saying he hopes it has "the same galvanising effect as the 1988 Nelson Mandela concert."
It is the UK's largest ever fundraising concert for Gaza, with all proceeds going to Palestinian aid organisations such as the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, Palestine Medical Relief Society and Taawon.
