Wreckless Eric will join The damned for Dublin date
The man resposible for 'Whole Wide World' is joining The damned on thier Temple Bar Music Centre stop-off
Hotpress’ more, ahem, mature members of staff are in a state of hyper-excitement following the announcement that Wreckless Eric is joining The Damned for their November 18 gig at the Temple Bar Music Centre.
Part of the coterie of Stiff Records mavericks, the boy Eric is responsible for great punk-era songs and a cracking autobiography called A Dysfunctional Success.
Also on the bill are Bastard Sons Of Boris Karloff, the Irish shockabilly outfit who are trying to get listed as “Unluckiest Group In The World” in the Guinness Book Of Records.
Their misfortunes include losing 40 band members; blowing three major label record deals; having their gear robbed by Turkish bandits; being sued by Boris Karloff’s estate; and releasing seven records that sold less than 85 copies each.
