Woodpigeon tour Ireland
There's a new Canadian collective to fall in love with!
Woodpigeon make their Irish bow in May with visits to the Roisin Dubh, Galway (18); Auntie Annie’s, Belfast (19); Academy 2, Dublin (20); and Cyprus Avenue, Cork (21).
The Calgary eight-piece have a pastoral alt. folk sound, which to the HP Newsdesk’s ears is equal parts Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Mamas and Papas and Sufjan Stevens.
They also appear to be fans of lower league Scottish football, with one of the tracks on their new Treasury Library Canada album entitled ‘The Hamilton Academicals’.
