Wire confirm Dublin show
The legendary outfit are playing the Academy 2 next February.
Punk-era legends Wire make a rare foray over the Irish Sea on February 5 for a show in the Dublin Academy 2. Tickets are €20.
While earning their place in spiky-haired history by lining up alongside the likes of The Damned and Generation X in The Roxy, Wire weren’t your standard 1-2-3-4 merchants and quickly evolved into one of the late ‘70s/early ‘80s’ most innovative acts.
An influence on everyone from Elastica and Guided By Voices to Blur and Bloc Party, their Pink Flag, Chairs Missing and 154 albums are genuine classics worthy of a place alongside Metal Box and Unknown Pleasures in your collection.
We’ll see you down the front!
