Irish users will be able to access over six million tracks for free.
The streaming site which claims to be the UK’s most accessed with up to three million monthly users, we7, has officially launched in Ireland.
We7.ie has a library of 6.5 million songs – major, independent and unsigned – that can be listened to free of charge.
If you want to vanquish the accompanying ads, there’s a €4.99 per month Premium Service and €9.99 Premium Plus Service, which allows people to access their [link]we7.ie[/link] playlists using their i-Phone, i-Touch, i-Pad and many android phones and tablets.
The site’s CEO and founder investor is Steve Purdham who prior to we7 was the head honcho of SurfControl, which after its stock market floatation sold in 2007 for almost $450 million.
