The music icon died yesterday aged 57

Following news of Prince's death, Mumford and Sons covered 'Nothing Compares 2 U' at their concert in St Paul, Minnesota. Watch the footage beneath.

The 1975, meanwhile, honoured Prince at their gig in Santa Barbara, California by projecting an image of the late star as a backdrop during their performance. Frontman Matty Healy later uploaded a photo of the tribute.
