WATCH: Sacred Animals collaborate with Owensie
You can stream 'Cat & Mouse', and check out the video, now.
Out on November 14 but available to stream below, 'Cat & Mouse' is a one-off collaboration between Wexford's Sacred Animals and Dublin artist Owensie. The track, about the apparent suicide of a Russian family in Glasgow, is accompanied by a video by Brendan Canty of Feel Good Lost (previously responsible for crafting some of the most forward-thinking videos for upcoming artists around the world, including Tri Angle Records’ Clams Casino, Sun Glitters, Slow Magic and Jape.
According to Owensie, '''Cat And Mouse' was written about a Russian family who fell to their death in a housing estate in Glasgow last year. An apparent suicide from high in an old tower block used to house asylum seekers, it is thought they may have jumped for fear of deportation by immigration authorities. The father was also known to have suffered from mental problems. After the family were removed, a vigil was held by other local asylum seekers & many came forward with similar accounts of jumping from buildings in fear of deportation.”
