The film will explore the biography of the iconic track and field athlete, Jesse Owens
In 2016, a new biographical film is being released that explores the story of the famous AMerican track and field athlete, Jesse Owens.
Owens was a four-time Olympic gold medalist at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, who overcame adversity in the wake of racial discrimination against African-Americans.
He remains to be an iconic hero in sports, and there is no surprise that a film is being made to document his life's accomplishments.
The true story was produced in France, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom, and is supported by the Owens family, the Jesse Owens Foundation, the Jesse Owens Trust, and the Luminary Group. It is also directed by Stephen Hopkins, and stars Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, , Jeremy Irons, William Hurt, Carice van Houten, Amanda Crew and Jonathan Aris.
