WATCH: Emily Blunt Stars in The Girl On The Train Trailer

The first trailer for the big screen adaptation of Paula Hawkins' bestseller The Girl on the Train has arrived online and it's got a stellar cast.

The story sees the self-destructing Rachel (Emily Blunt) become embroiled in a murder mystery when she spots something shocking from her commuter train. Justin Theroux plays Rachel's ex husband Tom and missing nanny Megan Hipwell (Hayley Bennett) is at the centre of the case.

Rachel's struggle with her own alcoholic tendencies and blackouts means she can't remember the night Megan went missing which makes it difficult for her to prove her innocence when she becomes the number one suspect.

Directed by Tate Taylor (The Help), the cast also includes Allison Janney, Luke Evans, Edgar Ramirez, Rebecca Ferguson and Lisa Kudrow.
