Watch: David Gilmour Covers Purple Rain

Over the past few days we've seen countless artists pay tribute to the late singer Prince. Joining the honorary list is David Gilmour. The Floyd singer has covered the Minnesotan stars iconic song 'Purple Rain'.

It's not your average cover mind you. Gilmour has fused the Pink Floyd classic 'Comfortably Numb' with the Prince track to create a completely original take on the 1984 single.
