Trump cancels concert to mark the 250th birthday of the US
The US President will hold a mass rally in Washington D.C. on June 24 instead.
After several artists pulled out, US President Donald Trump has announced he's cancelling the planned concert and instead will hold a mass rally in Washington D.C. on June 24 to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
Multiple artists listed as entertainers have pulled out and pushed back on reports of their participation, claiming they weren't informed of the event's political ties.
"I HAVE INFORMED MY AGENTS THAT I WILL NOT BE PERFORMING AT THE FREEDOM 250 EVENT," stated listed performer Young MC. "The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event - I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged."
"In celebration of our Country's 250 Year History, we will be bringing you, LIVE, the Greatest Rally, EVER! It will be very special at every level - A Rally to end all Rallies!", wrote Trump on his Truth Social. "We don't want singers with no talent, but big fees to put you to sleep; we've told them all to stay home."

The new line-up for the rally includes Lee Greenwood, the singer of 'God Bless the USA', a staple of his political rallies. It will also feature US military bands and choruses.
The rally is among other big plans for the country's birthday, including a mixed martial arts fight in a specially constructed UFC arena on the White House lawn on June 14 - his 80th birthday.
