Voodoos hope to cast a spell on EMAs
Cork quintet won contest to open for big names.
Thanks to strong online fan support - and maybe a bit of black magic - the unsigned rock band hailing from Cork is set to open for Snow Patrol and Jason Derulo at the MTV EMAs on Sunday in Belfast. The Voodoos, who range from 18 to 24 years old, beat out amateur bands from all over the world in a contest put on by Hyundai for the chance to perform in front of more than 15,000 people.
You can listen to their winning track 'Yesterday's Future' below.

Fresh off a three-month tour in the U.S. with old school heavy metal band Queensryche, the Voodoos are headed back to the states in two weeks to play on the rock-and-roll cruise "ShipRocked."
