Vantastival Seeking Irish Musicians
Applications for a slot in next year’s festival open tomorrow…
If you’re a trailblazing Irish act looking to play some gigs this summer, then the offbeat campervan festival could be just waiting for your application to land in their inbox. Bands are invited to apply for Vantastival 2012 – the third event of its kind – from Thursday December 1.
Previous success stories include showcasing homegrown talent from The Ambience Affair, We Cut Corners and The Riptide Movement, plus memorable headliners from Whipping Boy and Duke Special.
If you’d like to join the impressive alumni, Vantastival will be taking applications up until January 16. Interested acts (including original and traditional music, but excluding cover bands) should email [link][email protected][/link] with the name of the artist in the subject line.
The email must contain a link for the judging panel to listen to a maximum of three sample tracks. Bands are asked not to attach MP3s to the email itself.
Next year’s event will take place in a new venue –namely Bellurgan Park, Co. Louth – between May 4 and 6. Ticket prices will be €89 for three nights of camping and a limited number of special offer Christmas tickets will be just €60. See [link]www.vantastival.com[/link] for more details.
