Van’s first Dublin and Belfast dates in ten years
He'll be supported by his daughter Shana.
There’s brilliant news for Van Morrison fans with their hero announcing his first Belfast and Dublin headliners for ten years. Keeping it in the family, support is provided by his daughter Shana Morrison, who'll be plugging the Joyride album she released last year on the Belfast Violet label.
You can catch The Man and her in the Odyssey on February 3 and the following night in the O2. Tickets for both dates go on sale on Thursday November 10, with the Dublin ones ranging in price from €56 to €115.
It’s a measure of just how enduring a legend Van is that he was honoured last month for ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ receiving 10 million plays in America. It’s also among Bill Clinton’s recently revealed 'Top 20 songs of all time', which includes Carly Simon’s ‘You And I Get Along So Well’, Sarah McLachlan’s ‘Angel’, Elton John’s ‘Philadelphia Freedom’, Phil Coulter’s ‘The Town I Loved So Well’ and Miles Davis’ ‘My Funny Valentine’ among its other Slick Willy toe-tappers.
