UPDATE: PiL for the Tripod
Mr. Lydon and the crew are over in June.
It’s Christmas all over again! PiL have just announced their first ever Dublin headliner in the Tripod on June 10, tickets for which go on sale on Friday January 28 priced ?44.50 and ?48.50.
If it’s only half as good as their Electric Picnic set was last September, we’re in for an absolute treat. Along with old faves like ‘Death Disco’, ‘Rise’, ‘This Is Not A Love Song’ and ‘Memories’, there’s a strong likelihood that they’ll ll be previewing new material from their first studio album since 1992’s That What Is Not. Talking to Hot Press last year, Lydon promised us a Springsteen-esque two-hour-plus set “when we get to play somewhere in Ireland that’s got a roof.” We’re holding him to it!
