U2’s tour manager Dennis Sheehan has been selected for this year's prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Parnelli Awards Board of Directors.
It was announced today that Dennis Sheehan will be honoured for his four decades of work in the live entertainment industry.
Sheehan's been with U2 now for the past 26 years, but in the past he's worked with Led Zeppelin, The Damned, Siouxsie and the Banshies, Soft Cell, Patti Smith, and Lou Reed.
He works not only as U2's tour manager, but also assists Bono and The Edge in their solo endeavours, including the former's political campaigns and the latter's work with his Music Rising charity.

Sheehan will be honoured for his lifetime contribution to the industry at the Parnelli Awards ceremony at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas on October 24.
The Parnelli Awards honour the highest achievement in concert production technology. 18 awards are presented including Lighting Designer of the Year and Audio Mixer of the Year as well as three lifetime achievement awards.
