Bright Eyes announce EP and share new music video featuring Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Segarra

Indie rock group Bright Eyes have announced their new EP Kids Table, set to release on September 26. Additionally, the American band has released a new music video for their track 'Dyslexic Palindrome' featuring Hurray for the Riff Raff’s Alynda Segarra.

Segarra recently joined the band on tour for a duet of their song 'Lua', featured on Bright Eyes' 2005 album I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning.

“Alynda Segarra is one of the most soulful people I have ever encountered,” said band member Conor Oberst. “Everything that passes through them is haunted by the weary ghost of American music past. I have had the good fortune of recording and performing with them on many occasions and I am always blown away by Alynda's ability to channel what is both intangible and universal."

Kids Table will feature eight songs, including 'Dyslexic Palindrome and '1st World Blues', which was released as a single in July. The EP will also including a cover of Lucinda Williams' 1980 track 'Sharp Cutting Wings (Song to a Poet)'.

Bright Eyes were founded in Nebraska and consists of Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott.

They released their first album A Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1997 in 1998. Their most recent album Five Dice, All Threes was released in September 2024.

The band has won three Grammys including Best Alternative Music Album for Fevers and Mirrors in 2002, Best Contemporary Folk Album for I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning in 2006 and Best Recording Package for Cassadaga in 2008.

Bright Eyes are currently on tour in the United States and are set to perform in Asia in the coming months.
