Two Door Cinema Club cancel UK dates due to illness
Following singer Alex Trimble's collapse in Seattle Airport, their Latitude and Bournemouth shows will not go ahead.
A real shame for TDCC fans in the UK this afternoon, as the band issue a statement confirming they can no longer play their two July dates across the Irish Sea:
"It is with a heavy heart that we are going to need to cancel our upcoming shows at Latitude and Bournemouth Academy. Alex collapsed at Seattle airport on the way to London and has been hospitalised with a chronic stomach complaint. We are devastated to have to cancel shows that we were so looking forward to. We can only apologise and hope for your understanding at this time.
Love TDCC x
The Northern Irish trio were due to play the Bournemouth Academy, Bournemouth on Thursday, July 17 and the Latitude Festival on Friday, July 18. Lily Allen will replace them as the Friday headline act at Latitude.
Their Splendour In The Grass set in Australia on July 265 is still scheduled to go ahead.
