NewDad added to line-up for David Byrne at St Anne's Park

NewDad have been announced as special guests for David Byrne’s gig in St Anne’s Park on June 7, joining previously announced opener Arlo Parks.

The show follows Byrne’s sold-out gig at the 3Arena back in March, which was described by Hot Press as a “gig of the year contender".

Special guests NewDad have met huge success in the past year, releasing their latest album Altar back in September.

David Byrne will be joined by special guests NewDad – as well as the previously announced @arloparks – at St. Anne's Park, Dublin, on 7 June 2026.

Speaking to Hot Press following the record’s release, frontwoman Julie Dawson explained: “We’ve definitely become more pop-leaning. Pop is back in such a big way. We’re obviously not trying to become another Abba, or anything like that – but we wanted to make music that had a wide reach.”

This summer, the band is also set to perform a series of summer festival gigs, including a stop at Beyond The Pale on June 12.
