tUnE-yArDs to play Dublin
The eclectic post-pop troupe will play The Button Factory.
After a sold-out tour of Europe earlier this year and a festival run in September, tUnE yArDs are due to sneak Ireland into their hectic tour schedule on February 12.
Fronted by the multi-talented Merrill Garbus, the band's self-released first album BiRd-BrAiNs was a homemade success story in 2009. Now they've signed with 4AD records for the release of their idiosyncratic second album w h o k i l l.
Garbus is famed for her improvised drum loops when performing live and the w h o k i l l tour will incorporate a new saxophone section.
Their most recent single 'Bizness' is available as a free Mp3 download from the tUnE-yArDs website, or you can listen online.
Tickets for their gig at The Button Factory go on sale Friday October 21 and cost €18.50 including booking fee. You can order from [link]www.tickets.ie[/link], [link]www.ticketmaster.ie[/link] and nationwide Ticketmaster outlets.
