Irish independent duo 49th & Main (Patrick King and Ben O'Sullivan) exploded onto the scene in 2020 after releasing a string of successful singles, from 'Don't You Like It?', 'Catching Eyes', and 'Party Alone' to 'Lost With You', 'Raw Mixer' and 'Midnight Juice'.

Taking a slightly more indie-rock journey than their usual electronic sound, the pair's latest single 'Good Life' is heavily inspired by the sound of Red Hot Chili Peppers. Think SG Lewis amalgamated with Franc Moody, and you're in the right dimension of 49th & Main's sonic world.

A laidback anthem about succumbing to temptations and taking life's opportunities to enjoy yourself when they come, 'Good Life' features chilled out backing beats and captivating guitar riffs, matched perfectly with 49th & Main's strong vocals.

"This is a new genre again for us, we really don’t want to get stuck in one lane with our music," the duo tell Hot Press. "We just want to have fun making it and if people enjoy it sure that’s a lovely bonus."

"In life we often take the journey for granted, especially now more than ever," the artists add.

"It’s fair easy getting lost chasing a destination. Everyday you get a phone call from Mr & Mrs ‘Good Life’, it’s up to you whether you pick it up or not. After spending almost the whole year in hospital, I’ve learned that life is actually pretty f**king great."

With millions of streams and a host of Spotify editorial playlist additions, 2021 looks to be an exciting year for the men. The pair have hit in the Irish scene with a unique jazz-influenced house sound, featuring catchy riffs that will immediately get stuck in your head straight.
