The Super Furries & Ocean Colour Scene headline Indie-Pendence
Delorentos, The Blizzards and Mundy are also Mitchelstown-bound
They told Hot Press last year that they were planning to morph into a fully-fledged festival, and now the Indie-Pendence people have delivered with a cracking two-day line-up headlined on the Saturday by Ocean Colour Scene and on the Sunday by Super Furry Animals – not the other way around as has been reported elsewhere.
The August 1 and 2 bash is being staged on a green field site five minutes away from the centre of Mitchelstown and also features:
Saturday – Delorentos, Mundy, Messiah J & The Expert, The Aftermath, Trevega, 202s, Dish Go Deep & The Chapters
Sunday – The Blizzards, Director, The Franks & Walters, Vesta Varro & Fred
There are loads more acts still to be confirmed – stay tuned to hotpress.com more details.
Tickets for the 5,000-capacity event go on sale on Saturday May 16 priced €39 for one day and €59 for the weekend.
There are a couple of privately owned sites nearby for people who want to camp plus plenty of hotel and B&B accommodation in Mitchelstown for those who like their creature comforts.
