The Simpsons premieres in Ireland
The show's St. Patrick's Day extravaganza will be seen here first!
For the first time ever, an episode of The Simpsons is to premiere in Ireland ahead of its US transmission.
Airing on Sky1 and Sky1 HD at 7.30pm on St. Patrick’s Day, In The Name Of The Grandfather finds Homer and Grampa journeying to Dublin, the Giant’s Causeway, Blarney Castle and the Guinness Brewery where they encounter the likes of Kenneth Branagh, Glen Hansard, Marketa Irglova and someone who sounds suspiciously like Colm Meaney.
To commemorate this momentous occasion, Homer is guest editing the March issue of Sky Magazine while executive producers Al Jean and James L Brooks and voice artist Nancy Cartwright will be in Dublin for a special Paddy’s Day Parade screening. We are beyond excited!
