They're playing the New York Mets' Citi Field with Sir Paul.
The Script take care of support duties on July 17 and 18 when Paul McCartney officially opens the New York Mets baseball team’s new Citi Field stadium.
It’s a high-profile outing for the Dublin trio whose ‘The Man Who Can’t Be Moved’ single has gone top 20 on the US Adult Radio chart, and received huge support from MTV and VH1 there.
They’re also embarking on their own 14-date Stateside tour, which kicks off on July 30 in Seattle and ends on August 17 in Washington DC.
McCartney’s association with the Mets goes back to 1965 when The Beatles played in their old home, Shea Stadium. He also joined Billy Joel in July 2008 for the ‘Last Play at Shea’ gig that attracted over 55,000 fans.
