The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announces its 2025 nominees, featuring Oasis, Mariah Carey and The White Stripes
This year will mark 39th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductions.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has announced their 2025 nominees.
Of the 14 nominees, approximately half will be inducted into the Hall of Fame later this year. Winners will be announced in April.
The nominees feature Mariah Carey, Cyndi Lauper, Oasis, Joy Division/New Order, Soundgarden and The White Stripes. New nominees who have never been featured on the ballot include Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, Outkast and Phish.
Artists become eligible for nomination after 25 years since the release of their first album. They are voted on by an international panel of judges, including over 1,200 musicians and music industry professionals. They also take audience votes into account.
The 2025 induction ceremony for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is scheduled to be held in Los Angeles this fall.
