The Raines to perform live-streamed gig from Dolan's Warehouse tonight
Watch the acclaimed Galway group performing live from Limerick tonight.
Following the release of their stunning debut single, 'Bare Feet On Grass', in November, The Raines are back – with a gig streaming live from Dolan's Warehouse tonight, January 21, at 7.30pm.
The folk group, featuring the remarkable talents of Juliana Erkkonen, Yvonne Tiernan and Ruth Dillon, first met on Inis Óirr, and have since built up a reputation for their stunning blend of original and traditional folk songs – combining sensitive vocals, gifted songwriting and highly accomplished musicianship.
Each member of The Raines draws from their own considerable musical experience – Yvonne (vocals/banjolele) sings and tours with The Chieftains; Ruth (vocals, guitar, ukulele) toured and recorded with Dolores Keane, was a member of The Molly Hicks, and has released three solo CDs; and Juliana (fiddle, vocals) is a stalwart of the Americana scene in Ireland, playing with The Rocky River Bluegrass Show and The Invisible Jug band.
Their debut single, 'Bare Feet On Grass' hit No.1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter chart in November.
They appear at on the livestream tonight as special guests of Sharon Shannon, who performs at 8pm tonight.
