The Quest For Human Completion
Spiritual-wordplay with a classic breakbeat
There’s very little production trickery here; It’s old-school: a break-beat, usually one effective musical hook, and lyrics that do what they say on the tin (the tin says “the Quest for Human Completion” in case you missed that). And so Brawdcast raps and rhymes multi-syllablically over his belief in God, why he works, why we’re here, the nature of the human soul, good and evil. It has to be said, the man has flow. On the downside, there’s a strange persecution complex running through the lyrics, and it’d be nice to hear the word “faggot” used as a compliment for a change (it’s only used once, but it always annoys me)...
