Patrick Freyne was born in Cork and then lived in Newbridge, Naas, The Curragh Camp, Newbridge again and then Dublin, where he still lives and works. He is a musician and has played with the National Prayer Breakfast, El Diablo and Patrick Freyne and his Bad Intentions. The first bands he ever loved were The Eagles and Def Leppard but he usually pretends it was the Pixies. He often finds himself quoting what he thinks is Aristotle only to find that it was actually Gandalf. Nowadays he writes about music (for Hot Press), telly (for The Sunday Tribune) and business (for Business And Finance) among many other things.
