‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’(Live)
Quite simply, ‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’ is one of the greatest songs of the last ten years.
Quite simply, ‘The Man Don’t Give A Fuck’ is one of the greatest songs of the last ten years. Originally released in 1996, this live version arrives ahead of their forthcoming singles collection, and showcases all that is great about the Super Furries. Opening with Christmassy chimes and followed by the backing sounds of a choir, Gruff Rhys’ opening line, “Spent some times in stormy weather” is greeted with huge cheers by the London audience, before thumping into life with an inspired shift in direction as its chorus explodes “You know they don’t give a fuck about anyone else.” Still SFA’s finest moment, the single includes a 23 minute live version of the track. Stunning stuff. SC
