The Libertines announce Glasgow gig
The show is considered a warm-up for their Hyde Park performance.
The Libertines 2014 comeback will not begin at London's Hyde Park as expected. Instead the band will start at the much humbler Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow for what member Carl Barat describes as a warm-up show.
The 2,000 capacity venue isn't exactly the grand reintroduction fans were expecting, but it does hint that a more expansive tour could be in the works. The Glasgow gig is the second show announced in two weeks, after it was generally accepted that the Hyde Park show would be a one-off.

Can we expect an warm-up show in Ireland for the Glasgow show at an even smaller venue? Time will only tell.
