A name change of note for 2011
The members of (the act formerly known as) The Garrett Wall Band have just announced that they will now be called Track Dogs.
The reasoning behind the name change? Track Dogs feel that they have progressed from merely being a 'singer songwriter plus band' act - their new material features plenty of four part harmonies and contributions from all four of the band members for the first time.
Formed in the autumn of 2006, they released their first album Sky Pointing the following year. Their second album Hands & Imperfections came out last February and saw two of its singles playlisted on RTE Radio 1.

Under their new moniker, the group are set to release their single 'Move A Mountain' in February and are currently working away on their third album at the Serenity Studios in Madrid - a city that has become something of a second home (or kennel) for the lads.
They plan to embark on a highly ambitious tour of all 52 provinces and autonomous regions of Spain this year, as well as a trip to the US for a series of dates.
