You've had your say – now we have a Final Five.
With 33 deserving, exciting Irish acts recently presented to the public as we search for the 2014 Big Break winners who will go on to feature on the cover of Hot Press, you voted in your droves to push your favourite artist over the line.

On Sunday, the shutters went down, bringing the public vote to a close.

We are pleased to announce that the following artists are the contenders still in the running, as we enter the final stage of The Big Break. Fanfare of trumpets please - can we hear it for, in strictly alphabetical order:

Cult Called Man, Miriam Donohue, El Grey, Rackhouse Pilfer and Rocstrong.

The 'Final Five' artists will submit two additional tracks for consideration by the judges. Only one will make it to the hallowed ground that is the cover of Hot Press. They will also be invited to perform at a special Hot Press gig to launch their issue. They’ll even receive an ALCATEL ONETOUCH IDOL S each, to start them on the road to musical stardom.
