The Bridge School Benefit concerts set for release
They'll feature performances by Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Neil Young.
On October 21, Reprise Records will release two special packages: a three-DVD and a two-CD collection of live performances from a selection of the artists who’ve performed at the annual Bridge School Benefit Concerts over the past 25 years.
Some of the biggest names in rock are featured, often performing rare, acoustic versions of their songs - Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, The Who, Tom Petty, Simon and Garfunkel are just a few.
The project is organised by Neil Young and his wife Pegi, and benefits The Bridge School, a non-profit organisation that educates children with severe speech and physical impairments through the use of augmentative and alternative communication systems and assistive technology.
The DVD version includes documentaries on the organisation and on the event itself.
