The Bottle
Just when we thought that we had seen Paul Weller do everything, he comes back again and surprises us all with this first single from an album of covers called Studio 150.
Just when we thought that we had seen Paul Weller do everything, he comes back again and surprises us all with this first single from an album of covers called Studio 150. This cover of jazz legend Gil Scott Heron's ‘The Bottle’ is an average sounding number that’s nowhere near to the calibre of The Modfathers work with The Jam or The Style Council. It does feature some nice guitar but nothing that matches up to Weller's impressive back catalogue and frankly I'd take "A Town Called Malice" over this anyday.
