TG4 Invites Public Nominations for An Gradam Comaoine 2025
An Gradam Comaoine 2025 (The Outstanding Contribution Award), celebrates individuals and collective who have contributed to the preservation and promotion of traditional Irish music.
TG4 has called to the public to put forward nominations for An Gradam Comaoine 2025, (The Outstanding Contribution Award).
First introduced in 2006, the award celebrates individuals, organisations, communities or collectives who have done outstanding work in promoting and preserving traditional Irish music and performance.
Winners of the 2024 award were Cairdeas Na bhFidileírí, a Donegal based fiddle collective. Their work specialises primarily in strengthening all aspects of fiddle traditions of Donegal.
TG4 invites nominations for individuals who work as teachers, writers, community leaders and many more, who have had an impact on the promotion of traditional music across the country and in the media.
See below, a full list of criteria an individual or collective must meet to be put forward for nomination.
- Nominations may include individuals, organisations, community projects, or specific initiatives.
- Previous nominees are eligible, and additional or updated information to support their nomination is welcomed.
- Nominees can be based in Ireland or abroad, provided their work impacts traditional Irish performance arts.
- One nomination per email address.
Deadline for the nomination is February 4, 2025. Further information and access to the nomination form is available here.
