With the combination of the Live Performance Support Scheme and the success of the Government's test gigs at the Iveagh Gardens and the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, we are on the verge of a huge explosion of music activity. As part of our Summer of Music 2021 special feature, we're taking a look at some of the most eagerly anticipated events of the summer...

Marble City Sounds

Where: Ballykeeffe Amphitheatre, Kilmanagh, Kilkenny

When: Sunday, August 15

Who: Ali Comerford, SOLA, Elise, Kairen Caine, Gary O’Neill, Dead Alien Tourist, The Barflies & more

What: This live one-day showcase celebrates a selection of Kilkenny’s most exciting artists – while also encouraging music-lovers from near and far to get out and celebrate the return of live music. All profits from the show will be divided among the artists in the line-up. There will be no bar at the amphitheatre, but concert-goers are invited to bring their own refreshments.
