Paul Brady at Ballykeeffe Ampitheatre (Photos)

Paul Brady gives a virtuoso performance in front of a packed Ballykeeffe Ampitheatre on Saturday night. The final day in September saw the climax of the Ballykeeffe 2024 summer event program as the picturesque Kilkenny venue welcomed one of Ireland’s most highly regarded and successful artists. It was a fitting finale to another highly successful musical fest through June, July, and August having already seen the likes of Chasing Abbey, Amble, and Lyra earlier in the season. Brady's performances, whether solo or with full band, include songs from his extensive catalogue of 40 years, and on Saturday he was joined by two highly regarded musicians Bill Shanley and Steve Fletcher. Songs such as The Island, Crazy Dreams, Nothing But The Same Old Story, Nobody Knows, Follow On, The Long Goodbye, The Lakes of Pontchartrain along with stories from his many years in a life of music had the attentive audience on the edge of their seats throughout on yet another emotional night in Ballykeeffe.
