Steven Tyler is going country
The Aerosmith frontman announced that he is working on a solo country album.
His music with Aerosmith might be rock, but Tyler is going in a different direction with his upcoming solo album.
Tyler picked an appropriate venue to make his big announcement, during country artist Eric Paslay's set at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. While there has been no further information released about the record's release date or title, the singer has confirmed that he is currently working on the album.
The always-busy former American Idol judge will embark on the Blue Army tour across the US with Aerosmith this summer.
Don't believe that Tyler has the country chops? His duet with country star and American Idol winner Carrie Underwood, "Can't Stop Loving You," was a decidedly country-flavored track off of Aerosmith's 2012 album Music From Another Dimension!. Check it out below.
