Status Quo confirm Irish Tour
One of the most successful bands in British history after the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, the legendary Status Quo have confirmed an Irish Tour in February 2009.
The band, fronted by Francis Rossi and Rick Parfit, have scored some fifty five Top 40 hit singles, and sold more than 112 million records since they first formed in 1967. Some people believe that the '(Listen To The) Flower People' sequence in Spinal Tap was based in part at least on the band.
At the culmination of the tour, Status Quo play the Olympia Theatre February 8, 2009. The full list of tour dates is as follows:
INEC, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Feb 1;
Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise, Feb 3;
Waterfront, Belfast, Feb 4
Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Feb 7;
The Olympia Theatre, Dublin, Feb 8.
