This is the first single to be released from Dublin singer songwriter Ann Scott’s debut album, Poor Horse. Whilst firmly rooted in one-girl-and-her-guitar land, Scott’s sweet voice gives the song lift while the toe-tapping beats keep things moving, leaving no room for the pained, self-indulgent warblings all too often associated with the genre. A very good song then, from a very promising artist.
