Southern Sun/Ready Steady Go

Two excellent selections from Oakenfold’s debut album Bunkka. It’s his debut in that he has both written and produced the tracks and it features vocal contributions from such luminaries as Perry Farrell, Ice Cube, Tricky and Hunter S Thompson. Oakenfold is a bit of a musical magpie but he does it so well who cares. Southern Sun with Carla Werner on vocals could be Massive Attack for a moment before it veers towards more traditional epic trance. The track also features So Solid’s Asher D. Great single, great album.
